Concept behind and goal of AIR program “Villa Mila Arandjelovac”

 

In cooperation with renowned painters, guests of the art colony, “Villa Mila Arandjelovac” wants to establish an international collaboration with art enthusiasts and those that wish to improve their artistic skills. Under the guidance of the most highly regarded art professors from The University of Belgrade and The University of Novi Sad perfect your art acumen and build confidence in your creativity. Villa Mila organizes a unique month-long residential workshop for all current and future artists. Spend a pleasant vacation learning art technique from the country's best known art professors. It is preferred for workshop attendees to understand English.        

AIR program “Villa Mila Arandjelovac 2014" will be held during April, May, June 2014. The deadline for application is 15. March for residence during April, 15. April for resinece during May, 15. May for resindence during June 2014.

A certificate of workshop completion will be issued to all participants at the end of the program. All participants will also have the opportunity to exhibit the results of their artistic exploration in front of an audience at an event hosted by Villa Mila in cooperation with local galleries. 

 

 

Application procederes:

The application form can be found here. In addition to filling out theform electronically (Word or pdf) please also write a few sentences about yourself and your work or the work you would like to do during your time at Villa Mila. April for resinece during May, 15. May for resindence during June 2014. If you wish you may also attach 3-5 photographsof your work. Please ensure that the photograph sare high resolution and in .jpg format.     

Duration of the course/workshop is two, three, four weeks.

 

The organizer of the program will provide:

-Accommodation in apartments or rooms (heating, gas, A/C, internet etc.)

-Food (all inclusive)

-Studio space

-Art supplies (canvases, paint, brushes, paper, easel, drawing benches etc.)

-Day-trips to local historical and cultural sights (Arandjelovac, Belgrade...)

-The organization of the final exhibition and printing of full-color art catalogs

-Issuing certificates of course completion

 

 

Schedule of the workshop:

All participants will have the opportunity to organize their days as they see fit. Two drawing and painting mentors will be available 4 days a week for teaching, consultations, suggestions, as well as discussions on art and the philosophy behind creating it. The workshop is meant to be the freest method of learning and enriching art skills and knowledge. Participants will be able to paint or draw, do photography, read memoires, familiarize themselves with local art, and explore Villa Mila and its beautiful surrounding. All painting and drawing materials will be provided, the participants are only expected to bring a good attitude. AIR participants will be entirely free in their choice of themes and techniques. Our professors will do all they can to transfer as much knowledge as possible, to motivate and inspire you…

 

Professors / Mentors:

Nenad Stanković, Snežana Petrović and Slavko Krunić

 

 

Nenad Stanković

Nenad Stanković was born 1965. in Mačvanski Belotić. He graduated at the Faculty of the fine Arts in Belgrade in 1990.  He is a member of ULUS and ESNAF. He organized a lot of oneman shows as well as he took a part in numerous group exhibitions in Serbia and abord. Many times he was awarded. Nenad Stanković is a proffesor at the University Edukons as a proffesor of painting technology. He lives in Belgrade.

 

 

Snežana Petrović

 

Snežana Petrović was born in 1977 in Novi Sad, Serbia. She graduated from the Art Academy at the University of Novi Sad in 2004 with a focus in graphics under the supervision of Prof. Milan Stanojev. She earned her masters in 2008 from the Art Academy at the University of Novi Sad in 2004 with a focus in graphics under the supervision of Prof. Radovan Jandric. She is currently a PhD candidate at the Academy of Art at the University of Belgrade. She works as an assistant professor of graphics at the Academy of Classic Art at Edukons University in Sremska Kamenica.   

 

 

Slavko Krunić

Slavko Krunić was born in 1974 in Belgrade. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1998 under the supervision of Prof. Radomir Reljic. He earned his masters from the same university under the supervision of Prof. Andjelka Bojovic. His work has been featured in several solo and group exhibitions domestically and abroad. He has been a member if ULUS since 2000 and of ULUPUDS since 2011. He lives and works in Belgrade.

The total price of the program including all accommodations and food:

2 weeks / 1000 Eur

3 weeks / 1350 Eur

4 weeks / 1700 Eur

 Every participant can bring along family members or partner that will pay 50% of the price as well as a pet, free of charge.
